Zenith Carex International is a registered and licensed clearing agent by Nigeria customs service and Nigeria port Authority (NPA). We have an outstanding performance record when it comes to ocean or air freight in Nigeria for over a decade. We currently operate in all the seaports ( Apapa/Tincan Lagos, Onne Portharcourt, Calabar and Delta) and international Airport in Nigeria. Our turn time for clearing container at any of our sea port is 3 t0 7 days and 48 hours for all air shipment. We handle all kind of shipment for all sundry and value clients such as pharmaceutical, foods, agricultural produce, electrical/electronic appliances, automobile, personal effects, chemicals/dangerous goods , light/heavy equipment etc.

Our global freight forwarding services offers a unique door to door ocean and air freight services from any part of the world to Nigeria and Vice Versa.

We have the capacity to handle all shipment coming into or going outside Nigeria to any country worldwide as an member of CPN (Cargo Partner Network) representing the alliance network in Nigeria covering over 250 countries.

This has given us a wide niche over our competitors and make our global freight forwarding services efficient and effective as we can fulfill door to door from any country to Nigeria and vice versa.

Customs clearance at the airport

  • Obtainment of letter of Authority from the client to the Customs department, designating us as approved agent for the clearing of their consignment. The letter should contain description of the consignment and quantity as stated on the Airway bill. All other relevant agencies such as Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), NDLEA, NAFDAC, SSS, Police, DMI, Quarantine Department and handling companies like SAHCOL or NAHCO should be copied in the letter of authorization from our client.
  • The accredited customs clearing agent (Zenith Carex Int`l) presents the authorization letter to Customs authorities for capturing, documentation and approval for the commencement of clearance procedures
  • Payment is made to ground Handling company (SAHCOL or NAHCO) or the airline for initial handling activities
  • Payment is made to Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Customs Department (where duties are applicable). Membership levy is also paid at the office of the Association of Licensed Customs agents to which Zenith Carex International belongs.
  • With the receipts of all the payments, approval is obtained from the Area Comptroller of Customs for the release of consignment to the agent (Zenith Carex I’ntl)
  • Payment receipts and documents are further vetted and verified by relevant government agencies at the airport for immediate release of consignment to the authorised agent (Zenith Carex Int`l)

Customs clearance at the seaport

  • The accredited customs clearing agent (Zenith Carex Int`l) presents the
    authorization letter to Customs authorities for capturing, documentation and
    approval for the commencement of clearance procedures
  • Request is made for the cost or rating of consignment from the shipping company. This goes on simultaneously with customs documentation
  • Payment is made to both the shipping company and the terminal company for initial warehousing of consignment
  • On verification of payments made the Customs Area Comptroller issues approval for the consignment to be released to the agent (Zenith Carex International)
  • Consignment is thereafter transported to destination of client or released to him at port as may be agreed.
